Many facial lines and wrinkles are caused by repeated contraction of the underlying muscles on the skin.  If the muscles cannot contract, you cannot wrinkle the overlying skin.  BOTOX NYC® is an injectable material that is used to selectively paralyze certain facial muscles.  By relaxing these muscles, BOTOX® causes these wrinkles to soften and often disappear.  BOTOX® is most often used in the frown between the eyebrows, the horizontal creases of the forehead, and crow's feet around the eyes.  The solution is injected with a small needle into the selected muscles.  The final result may not be apparent right away; it may take several days to two weeks for the full effect of the BOTOX® to manifest.  The effect of BOTOX® usually lasts 4-6 months and an ongoing effect will require repeat treatments every several months.  In addition, BOTOX NYC® is also used for reducing wrinkling of the neck, and to treat hyperhydrosis (excessive sweating) under the arms, on the palms of the hands, and on the soles of the feet.

Restylane® and Juvederm® are both smooth, clear, biodegradale gels made of hyaluronic acid which is a natural sugar found in human skin.  Hyaluronic acid binds to water and gives the skin a natural plumpness.  These products are injected underneath the skin with a very fine needle to help restore volume and smooth away facial wrinkles and folds.  Since these are naturally occurring products, allergy testing is not necessary before treatment.  Results are seen immediately and usually last 5-6 months.

Collagen

Collagen is a naturally occurring protein found in the second layer of skin (the dermis), which maintains the firmness of the skin, and "plumps up" the  skin, joints, bones and ligaments.  Zyderm® and Zyplast® Collagen injections are used to counteract the effects of gravity and years of facial muscle movements by filling out sunken areas and smoothing lines, wrinkles, folds, and scars.  Collagen is also used for enhancing the lips for a rejuvenated look.

Fat Transfer

Fat transfer is a procedure used to plump up and replace tissue loss, and contour and correct wrinkles, furrows and hollows in the face and hands.  This procedure uses a patient's own fat removed from another part of the patient's body and is used as a filler substance.  Donor fat is taken with a sterile tube from an area with fatty deposites such as the buttocks, thighs, or abdomen, and then re-injected into the areas to be filled.  Since one's own tissue is used, there is no risk of the body rejecting it.  This technique can help to contour and "plump up" the aging face, as well as improve scaring, lines, and wrinkles. 

due to the effects of aging and the environment, the outer layers of the skin become dull, rough, and there are age spots, discoloration, wrinkles and scarring. Spider veins occur as a result of a number of factors including hereditary and genetic predisposition, age, injury and prolonged periods of standing or flying on an airplane. 

Sclerotherapy is a procedure that decreases the visiblitiy of unsightly spider veins commonly found on the legs and thighs.  This procedure works by injecting the veins with a sclerosing solution which induces an irritation, and causes the veins to collapse and fade from view.  Two to four treatments are usually required and improvement is generally seen after each session.
